Hilarious Scientific Mishaps Brought to Life and Turned Into Delightful Illustrations

Fieldwork can be unpredictable, and sometimes, it goes hilariously wrong. French illustrator Jim Jourdane has taken the bizarre and unexpected mishaps shared by fieldwork scientists on Twitter, under the hashtag #FieldworkFail, and turned them into a series of brilliant illustrations. From wild animal encounters to nature's unexpected surprises, Jourdane's artwork captures the funny, chaotic reality of scientific fieldwork. With no background in science himself, Jourdane was drawn to these stories for their humor and decided to create art that would connect with scientists and non-scientists alike. 

Jourdane's clever, witty illustrations were so well received that they became a published book, filled with the amusing misadventures that scientists face while working in the great outdoors. If you've ever had a tough day at work, these illustrations will make you appreciate the fact that at least you didn't get glued to a crocodile!
